Larry,
The 8025 (now superceded by the 8025-A), is a UHF transmitting triode
tube,
mfg'd as you said, by RCA. For full particulars on it, see the data
Sheets
at http//frank.pocnet.net/049/8/8025A.pdf. This is one GREAT web site,
showing many, many ancient vacuum tube data sheets. Note that the
data sheet for the 8025A has "Nov. 15, 1945" at the bottom of the sheets.
I think you'll like this web site, as well as many other boatanchor
aficionados are likely to do so, if they haven't already found it.
Unfortunately, however, I've not found any equipment anywhere that
used this special tube. Perhaps it was used in some very early military
applications, noting that it originated was quite a few years back.
