While I was traveling for my uncle, I came across loads of TMC gear in
out of the way places. Mostly seen around Embassies, and Remote Air
Bases.
As mentioned there is a TMC list server, and also a website. There are
some knowledgeable folks on that list as well as this one. If you have
the equipment, and like it by all means enjoy it. However if you decide
to get rid of it, a friendly suggestion, give the guys who have other
TMC equipment a chance at it first. If looking for it here and in Canada
try hamfests, Border Patrol sites, remote air fields, closed military
bases. They are real nice and mostly very easy to get running, above all
patience is the word when getting them going. Ask lots of questions
also.
