Here's a quick update and a few questions:
Got the sub-chassis out ok and found R23, 100K to be open....replaced. 
Also found R20 cathode res. on V12 to be about 120K...replaced.
Other res. w/in tol.
Could someone with a clear schem. tell me the R# and/or value of the resistor coming from pin 6 of V5, 6BA6 to the blue wire. I measure about 296K ohms. I'm a tad color blind and not sure about the first 2 bands.
Also wonder about  the "Z" on the .01 disc caps. Can any .01 disc replace or would it also have to be a "Z".
the .02 caps have a "Z5U, RMC". Parts list says the .02's are ceramic disc and the .01's are just ceramic. Any practical difference?
And finally, how about the "Tiny Chief" caps. There are a bunch of these in the rec. (not the sub-chassis). I guess they are the paper type. Are they in the same category as the Black Beauties?
