Nice job, Orrin -

Interesting results, but my intepretation is...the results track pretty
well with the availability/familiarity of a particular receiver. It would
certainly give someone a good point of reference for where to start if
they wanted to build a viable collection of receivers. Some examples
like the SX-115, NC-400, SX-88, CRM R6A, RA-17 and others just aren't
available in the numbers of most receivers, or in the average guy's
price range. Still, they are worth keeping an ear to the ground for any
leads.

Somewhat surprising to see the 75A-4 at the top since it's a ham
bands-only receiver, but it does an excellent job in all areas for
reception. Audio isn't as nice as say, an SX-28 or '62, but it's still
very acceptable - particularly if you run the 8 kc filter for AM.

If nothing else, it's a shopping list that will keep you busy and broke
for a while...
