[Boatanchors] BAMA Manuals on Ebay

The objection? Most of the time it just warrants a head shake. While I
disapprove of the practice of selling manuals (especially those downloaded
for free), both the free downloads and the sale do violate copyright laws.
However, manufacturers have often found that supplying service information
is costly, and, if someone is giving away this low demand stuff for free,
many copyright holders will ignore this. But, if there is money to be made,
the copyright holders may start to inforce their rights, thereby "ruining"
it for the rest of us.
Also, it is just plain annoying. Next time on e-bay, search GONSET. Have to
look thru a page of manuals to find the three (typical) radios! --Mike,

Could somebody please explain to me why this is such a big deal?? For
those of us that can't get anything
to download from the BAMA site (connection issues on my end), this is a
service that I would gladly pay for.
Thanks!!
