[Boatanchors] KW ATLANTA operator help

Hello i have a KW ATLANTA transceiver with an option (black box rear the =
radio, i think this is the VOX ???)
and i can not plug my keyer to operate the radio other than in vox mode =
with the rec/tune/cw switch turn to cw.
It is not very fast.  Is it possible to operate it in VOX mode without =
turning the switch to CW????
