Thanks to the alertness of Ralph Fowler, and a friend with a T1 connection, the
Radio Shack Talking Multi-Meter last made by Micronta in 1993 has been found!
All efforts by Radio Shack to find the replacement IC#1 board with main cpu
failed. The only board they had as a replacement was made to the wrong physical
size. Go figure -

Thanks to ALL of you who worked so very hard to find me one of these meters, as
it is about all there ever was that would work for those of us who are blind.
Even though this one is still wrapped in the original packaging, and has
probably never been unpacked, it is still at least ten years old, so hopefully
it will work. If not, Maybe between the two meters I can get RS to make one.

FYI: the Omega product that has dropped from $600 to $400 and now at $250 is
actually inferior to the old RS product built by Micronta. The Omega does not
test diodes, nor does it measure continuity. But today, it is all that exists
for those who are blind or print handicapped to use.

Maybe, just maybe, not for long though. There 'may' be a new product this
Summer! If so, it will be very handy for sighted and blind Hams or radio
hobbyists alike. More on that later, if it comes to pass.

Again, my sincere thanks to one and all who went over the top in an effort to
help me find a meter to replace the one that died in December.
