[Boatanchors] HRO 50 / 60 coil alignment jig

Hello, list.

Yesterday I acquired an HRO 60 that more closely resembles a ball of 
rust rather than an actual receiver, and it's beyond hope of 
restoration.  Since the unit came with one coil in much the same 
condition (an "A" coil; not exactly rare) I'm considering gutting the 
innards and the coil to make a coil extender/jig of some sort to 
facilitate alignment of HRO 50 / 60 coils outside of the receiver.  I 
strongly suspect that I'm not the first to think of this, and there may 
even be something like this still in existence from the National 
factory.  Any hints, ideas, suggestions, rotten tomatoes, etc.?
