Because it takes away from our 'eating/sleeping/playing/finding more 
stuff to hoard' time, that's why. You say "..only a few seconds" but 
those few seconds add up over time. Sorta like a dripping faucet. I 
always figure I'll have time to be organized later, after I've found 
everything I'll ever want, need, or be remotely interested in. My job 
already interferes far too much with my time as it is.

 Besides,  it's better to put off being organized until you've dealt 
with the urge to procrastinate.
