I really do not want to tie up this list with this issue, perhaps those who want
to discuss it can CC each other?	
	
Yes there are digital meters with a RS/232 serial port that can interface with a
computer. Said computer will need to have an internal speech card, as an
external hardware device would be using the port the digital VOM is on. Two big
problems. One is mobility. You are tied to the computer. That is seldom
practical. Second, it will have to run under DOS 6.22, as there is no Windows
software support for the screen reading programs to support this type of display
on the CRT. DOS has the flexibility that would make it possible.	
	
I considered and tried this means several years ago.
