Hi!
I checked some radio books - found a brief mention in one of them ("Radio
Collectors' Guide" by Morgan McMahon) which lists the Gollos Radio Corp as
having made one radio, in 1925, a five tube TRF set with three tuning dials,
2 tuned RF stages and a detector and 2 audio stages.
The picture on your website look great!
I very much doubt that the 26's are the correct tube - almost certainly the
radio used 01A's with possibly an 00A detector.
The A supply for the tube filaments would be 6 volts (supplied by a storage
battery back then), the B+ DET, i.e. for the detector would be 22.5 volts,
and the B+ AMP would be 90 volts. Common problems with those sets are open
primaries or secondaries in the audio interstage transformers, bad grid leak
resistors. If you have a question / problem I'd be happy to try to answer.
It looks like a very neat set - good luck with it! I really dig those 20's
battery sets! (If you get tired of it - let me know!)
73, as you guys are fond of saying,
