Bill,

I knew that I had seen the name "Lon-Ga-Tone" somewhere but couldn't remember
where. TM on the TG-1-(*) is TM 11-447. I have a couple of extras of the
1943 edition, as well as a BD-57-A (maybe 2). But I think that's the only
hardware I've ever had for the set.

BTW, the CW key used with this and some other code training sets was the J-38
or another un-nomenclatured one, not the J-48. J-48 is the scarce one with
snap-slide base and aluminum cover used with the BC-654 in SCR-284. J-38 has a
fairly wide bakelite base and the key mechanism (which is not the standard
J-37 used on so many other keys) has a lever switch that shorts the contacts to
lock the circuit closed. The other key has a narrower base that is indented
to provide a space for winding up its cord.
