[Boatanchors] A Multi Elmac question

Hi all,
I "may" have a line on a Multi Elmac "Trans-Citer" to use on the air (though
I'll probably have to do some work on it first and modify a Heathkit HP-23
power supply to use with it). I think the man said it's a model AF-67.

Doing some web research on this item I see that it's a 160-10M AM/CW
transmitter, sometimes called the "Poor Man's Ranger".

Question: My main expected mode of operation will be CW (with the
Hallicrafters SX-71 receiver), not AM. Do these Elmacs put out a fairly clean
sounding CW signal or should I just forget it?
