I believe I've got the engraved panel restoration down, at least the
results look good to me and I appreciate all the input.
The SP-600 panel looks good after:

1) total chemical stripping (or sandblast) and washing
2) sanding with 320-600 wet/dry
3) prime and paint with GOOD quality paint
4) fill engraving with "off white" acrylic paint from a tube at the local
craft store
5) let it partially dry (a few minutes)
6) clean off the overflow with wet Q-tips and smooth wet cloth
7) let fully dry

-------------
Now I'd like some input on raised aluminum lettering panel restoration
(like on a TCS receiver/transmitter). I was going to strip the panel,
prime and paint, scrape off the higher letters and markings with a razor
blade ? or put a small piece of tape over the lettering, paint the
panel, remove the tape and see what it looks like ....then "fog" a light
coat and scrape off the letters if needed.

------------
Also, if someone has a TCS parts unit, I'm going to be looking for a few
things and have a few items to trade.
