Hello All..... I ran across an article on the web by Norm, WB2SYQ, regarding the use of a "garden variety" HORIZONTAL OUTPUT DRIVER TRANSISTOR with avoltage rating of at least 300 volts, a 1meg, 1/2watt linear taper pot and a 470k, 2watt resistor to replace a faulty (and expensive) RF drive pot in a Valiant transmitter (4watt, 25k ohm). Can anyone advise as to a standard NTE or similar part number for this "garden variety" transistor? Thanks, Bill, ab0zz at arrl.net.
