[Boatanchors] 6M and Up Boatanchors

And in the "olden days" a Gonset 6 meter rig fired up anywhere within 5
miles when you lived in a TV fringe area, would create havoc. Be careful if
you aren't in a well "cabled" or satellite TV neighborhood.

If all you want is six meters and not 2 and you want something compact and
that works well, I'd suggest and NOT a BA unit, I'd suggest looking for
something like the Alinco DX-70TH. I have one that I've not used a lot but
have done so on 6. I've seen them, supposedly in good condition, for around
$350 and a suitable 12 volt supply might be had for less than $75 depending
on the commercial model you find available used. The "TH model is higher
power than the "non-TH" one. Not a bad general coverage receiver in it and,
of course HF as well.

Gonset "goonie boxes" are great BA's Had an FM kit for them too.
Also -Black Widows-, Ameco VHF gear, Techcraft, lotsa VHF tube type out
there and a lot of it well built, mostly AM but some SSB/CW/FM type too.
