[Boatanchors] BA's 6M and up...

[I thought I had sent this out yesterday - here goes again]

Assuming I pass the Technician test, I will require suitable BA gear.
I don't have any BA's that go over 32mhz and my privileges won't start
until 6M.  Aside from a newer dual band HT that won't have tubes, what
do the experts recommend?

A 2m tube HT that requires a car battery?
70cm at 70lbs?
SSB the size of an SST?
a `specially modified' r390a?
