[Boatanchors] Collins 75S1 receiver question

Can simeone push me a bit in the right direction.
I am repairing the emission switch on 75S1 receiver.  It has one broken =
wafer and I am replacing it with something similar that I can work =
around and get the same results (I hope)

Question:
What is the purpose of wafer S 11 on the emission switch?  The schematic =
shows that it grounds the audio in one or more of the AM/LSB/USB/CW =
switch positions. What emission modes ground the audio? Did I miss =
something?  The receiver works fine without the wafer so I feel this has =
something to do with the S line system of interconnection and operation =
and I don't have an S line to "crunch" the answer.
