Thanks for all the comments and help on the solder guns.
I found a Craftsman dual heat 230/150 watt gun at Sears. So far it
looks good and appears to do the job.
BTW: Several of you mentioned a couple of auctions on the place. My
search for the same didn't show them but scanning for the auction number
provided found them. Not sure if the search discriminates against us
rural folks or just me. None-the-less there are a couple of D550s
there.

You're looking for a Weller model D 550 soldering gun. Dual heat:
240/325
watts.
I was lucky to find one recently at a swap meet. Will let you know if I
see any more.
