A search on the Internet says that it was called a "voicemeter digital multitester". I can't find anything else, nor a source for one. Nothing at the E place.
A possible solution might be to buy the current DVM from Radio Shack that I recently purchased. It was about $75 and has an RS232 interface cable and software. Maybe the JAWS program (if you have this) can read the value off the screen to you.
This is a really handy meter to have using the software. For example, I had a problem with my heating system where the furnace would go off unexpectantly, then back on again. By connecting this to the thermostat circuit, I was able to see that the 24VAC was going away. Turned out to be an intermittant open in the power transformer. I have used this to troubleshoot radios on the bench were you want to catch something happening but don't have the time to hang around for hours. It graphs the voltage and keeps in in a text file for you.
