[Boatanchors] While on the subject of capacitors

Hi,
Since BBOD's and capacitors are again the topic dejour (sp?) I thought
I'd toss the following out.
A TV tech friend of mine gave me a small box of NOS capacitors. Though
they appeared to be the typical plastic encased "paper" caps, I
politely took them as I learned long ago if you want to be thought of
the next time they want to dispose of something, you take it all <grin>.
Anyway, I hadn't run across this particular "style" before. It is kind
of a deep red-brown color plastic casing, Kind of maroon. No color
bands or typical "Value" printed directly on the casing. Instead there
is a "wrap" of white paper or plastic sheet around the body of the
capacitor with the following (typical) printed on it. .25 +/-20% 600
VDC (or whatever the value is). NO brand name etc. Around one end of
the white section is a black band, indicating I suppose the outer foil.
The appearance is a rather attractive white capacitor with what at first
glance appears to be plastic end caps. The leads are quite "stiff" and
so must have a steel core or similar.
Anybody here seen these critters before?
