Not necessarily.

Our sports car club (affiliated with the SCCA) used to hold fun events
for the local Veterans home, where the vets could come out and we would
put on events that they could participate in, driving our cars. One of
the events is where blind vets were put in the drivers seat (in a big
closed lot) with the regular driver as "navigator" and he has to guide
the driver by voice commands thru a simple course laid out with traffic
cones. Fastest thru the course with the least cones knocked over was the
winner, but had fun and the grins on the faces of those vets as they
drove the course is something you can't forget. It made everyone a winner!
