Greetings,
I am totally blind, as most know, so please do 'not' send me to a web site to
'look' at a photo! Thanks.
I have before me an Allied Electronics Knight Kit receiver, model R-100a. I do
not have a manual, but one has been located and will arrive in about ten days.
What I need to know right now, gentlemen, is how the front panel of this sixties
receiver is laid out. Please describe it as if you were looking at it directly
in front of you. Describe it from the left to the right and from the top toward
the bottom.
Please give me a location for each knob, switch and meter: such as - far left
middle, below large main tune knob. Or: just to the right of the RF gain knob.
Please tell me the function of each knob or switch. If the knob has multiple
functions, please name them in a clockwise rotation (starting from the left most
position and rotating clockwise to the next one). If the switch has an on/off
position, please indicate it. Such as, up is AVC on and down is AVC off.
When in doubt, include additional details. I would much rather have more than I
need than not enough.
Now please turn the receiver around so that the back faces you. Once again,
please describe it from the left toward the right, top down towards the bottom.
Please indicate all connections: terminal strips, (name the purpose of each
screw), 1/4 phono jacks, RCA type jacks, SO-239 and so forth.
If a fuse holder is present, please indicate its location in relation to a fixed
reference point and also the value of said fuse.
Please include any other details you believe I need to be aware of.
Thank you 'very' much in advance for your time and assistance. It is truly
appreciated.
