I've got to many radios as it is and i can only operate 1 at a time
anyway. Don't know how some people can operate dozens at once. They
evidently know a whole lot more than me. Since i've got a nice solid
state radio in my FT-990, i don't need a new one as i'm getting to old
and it would probably outlive me anyway. So there, make me number 3.
As an added note, i mentioned doing the same thing last year (taking the
prize money and putting it to good use with QSL.NET) and it apparently
bounced off of the walls someplace.

I left the boatanchors net because i thought it to restrictive and
besides i wasn't going to put out $20 for internet usage when it was
free. Well, i've been donating to QSL.net for several years and it's
been a lot more than what Jack wanted for his boatanchors list.

Lets not get into this "pay for usage" bit. Remember that the gummit
wants or wanted to pass legislation that would cost us so much per
message and i'm sure they are not done scheming on how to get more money
out of us in order to fill the pork barrel again. Something i've
learned is that if you don't want to know the answer to the question,
don't ask the question. It definitely could come back and bite you you
know where and then we'll all be pis##* at you! Think about what it
would be like to have to pay a nickel, that's 5 cents you know for each
and every message that goes into the mailbox. Lessee now, that would be
only $10 or so a day for me, how about you?

Donate and don't stir the pot! Al knows what he has to do and he'll
either do it or we'll all have to find another place to hang out.
