[Boatanchors] Collins 75A4

Need Help.  I have a Collins 75A4, Main Frequency Dial. there is a lot of slop in the dial, going from Right hand turn to Left hand turn. but i am not sure how to fix it. i know there is a dial cord used, not sure if thats slipping or if there is another way to get rid of the slop?
any ideas ?
