Try buying Chuck Dachis book, Radios By Hallicrafters for about $24.95 - $29.95,
depending on the seller.
No offense intended here, but if you do not know what model you have, should you
be trying to restore it just yet? Might be better to get all of your facts
first, then go to work.

Subject: [Boatanchors] Hallicrafter questions
Date: Monday, August 30, 2004 3:12 PM
I have a question on two different models of Hallicrafters.
I have an SX-100 that I'm in the middle of restoring. The label on the back
apron is missing. How can I tell if it is a SX-100, SX-100 MarkI or MarkII.
Next question is about Hallicrafters SX-25's. I have three of them that I have
not started on yet. Does any one know what the model differences are between the
colors? One has been stripped by a previous owner and I don't the original
color. It's S/N is HA-34433. I have a black one S/N H-146678 ( checked twice, it
is H not HA). Last I have a Grey/brown one S/N HA33660. Was there any ryme or
reason to their colors? What color should I paing the stripped one?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Wyne H.
