>From Joe w5jdy in Okla. Well I haven't bored you members of the Boatanchor Reflectors recently with any silly requests. So now is the time. I am trying to round up some parts to build the: Completely-Shielded 90 Watt Transmitter: from the 1954 Handbook. I have always wanted to build a transmitter that used Plug-in-Coils. I have most of the parts already except the 3 Coil Shields and Bases. Their part number, just for reference,is:
(ICA #1549). They look about 2.5" Diameter x 3.5" tall or maybe a little smaller. Of coarse, any kind will work that are about the same size. I believe I could easily get by with just two as the 6146 doesn't really need shielded(would be nice if it was? Any suggestions are always welcomed with open emails. I gladly will compensate with check, cash, money order, paypal etc.your choice. Some of these old parts are very hard to find and deserve good pay Joe w5jdy,Still re-inventing the wheel in Norman,Okla.73069
