Hi Chuck,

This is an interesting device.  It also does synchronous AM 
detection in the "LOCKED OSCILLATOR" position.  I'm pretty 
sure this predates the normal sideband-slicers like the 
CV-591 and the Hammarlund box.  I have a flyer that appears 
to bare a 5-49 date.

I've scanned my 5th-order thermo-fax/xerox manual copy.  It 
goes 2.7MB (28 pages), and shows how to install the pickup 
dongle in popular receivers of the era, SX-28A, SP-400, etc.
