Hi All,

I was just given an item by RME that 'appears' to be a pre-selector. It has no
model number on it. Described as follows:

Width: 7 inches, depth: 5 inches, height: 4 inches.

The front panel has a knob on the left that rotates about 180 degrees. I think
that is the pre-select gain control. There is a knob of the same size on the far
right that is an on/off switch. There is a large knob in the center with six
positions. I suspect the one on the far counterclockwise side is the in/out,
followed by the band to be selected - 80, 40, 20, 15 or 10 meters. There are no
other controls. Tuning appears to be automatic.

The display is a rectangular window. It appears somewhat crescent shaped, but
this is due to the top of the large knob covering part of the bottom of this
window.

Looking at the back head on and from left to right: a very small two conductor
wire with two small alligator clips on the ends, like an AC line cord, only much
smaller in size. Below that is a three screw terminal strip. The first screw is
not used. There is a resistor connected to the second screw and the other end to
one side of a shielded coax cable. The third screw has the other wire of the
shielded coax connected to it. The end of the shielded cable has a male RCA plug
on it. Moving farther right is the AC line cord. On the far right are three more
screws on a terminal strip. The screw farthest left and the middle screw are
connected to a little circuit board with a female quarter inch jack in it. The
screw on the far right is not used.

It has several vacuum tubes in it and looks to be about the early sixties in
design. Strictly a guess on my part!

I would appreciate any information one of you might be able to come up with on
this RME product. As stated above, there is 'no' model number showing.

I do know that older models of the RME pre-selector did have a tuning knob, this
one appears to not require that.

If we get lucky and can ID this puppy, maybe you can give me an idea what it
sold for, what year it was made and what it might be worth on today's market.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
