Bill,

P-18 24,000
P-20 24,000

Main difference between the two is the headband. Both use two of the R-2-A
permanent magnet type receivers.

BTW, HS-23 (8,000 ohms) also works well. Mid-war on, sets were issued with
Headset HS-30. Cord Hi-Z or Lo-Z) issued with HS-30 depended on BC-221 model.
Later models differed in that they were set up for 600 ohm headsets, not the
Hi-Z ones. HS-33 works well with them. HS-30 is an ear-plug type headset and
not (to me anyway) as comfortable to wear as the earphone types with rubber
or chamois ear cups.

Can anyone tell me what the impedance of a P-18 or P-20 military headset that
is used with a BC-221 frequency meter might be? Also was wondering if the
P-18 or P-20 was a crystal headphone? Thanks, Bill, ab0zz
