If I am wandering around a swap and see something a
buddy of mine might want to look at, I call him on the
HT and let him know.
In the past if I see something for sale on another
list that I have a buddy who might be interested, I
pass the information along to him.
In either of these two incidents there is no $$
changing hands, profits made, just information being
disseminated.
If I see something on e-Bay that might be of interest
to a buddy and he may have missed it, I send him a
note to take a look, if he chooses to. Again the
Internet/ e-mail is just the medium used to pass the
information along and there is no profit the passing
of the information.
I for one do not see any harm in posting to a list of
folks with a like interest. However, if I see
something like a K2 for example I would not post it to
the Glow bugs or Boat-anchor lists.
So what have I missed in terms of making relevant
equipment known, technical discussions shared, and
information disseminated amongst people with similar
interests??
