Hi guys -
I've been reading some 1962 issues of 73 magazine and came upon an
interesting piece called "Improved Base Clipper". It appears to be a sort of reverse
clipper device that establishes an audio threshold above which audio passes
normally and below which it goes quiet. Only a few parts are involved - seems
like it might be useful. I've posted a scan of the article on my FTP site.
ftp://ftp.qsl.net/pub/wd8das/ and the filename is baseclip.jpg
This improvement article refers to an earlier article which I suspect is more
descriptive - anyone have a copy of the original called "Stop that Noise" on
page 24 of the Nov. 1960 issue of 73?
Thanks...
Steve WD8DAS
