[Boatanchors] A PRO-310 Question

I know the answer to this question is probably unobtainium ... but 
here goes anyway.

Looking for someone with an operational PRO-310 and a 
temperature probe on a DVM, etc.  I need an idea of the 
temperature around the tuning cords after the receiver has been on 
for a while.

Why?  Well, one option that may take care of some slipping in the 
tuning in this radio is to use a continuous urethane round belt 
instead of the braided belts in the radio.  I have some samples to try 
when I get the tuning mechanics reassembled this weekend.  

Most commonly available urethanes can't take more than about 150 
deg. F.  So if the operating temp in the the area of the inside front 
panel is too high, urethane may not be a good option.
