What a fantastic project! Can I find room for one more vintage stereo amplifier?
Heck, I am totally blind, I don't need that table lamp with the hand painted
ceramic base and brass hardware - (Think I am kidding? Not! They can bring a
flashlight!)

I am especially fond of equipment that I remember seeing in catalogs or at local
dealers, before being blinded in October 1964 by the stranger with a gun. There
is just something wonderful about actually knowing what something 'really' looks
like and not having to interpolate and conjure up an image of what it might look
like. Sigh.

Greetings fellow Anchorites
I am finishing up on restoration of an unusual stereo tube amp. Allied/Knight
KB-85, Basic Power Amplifier. chrome chassis, out of the '60s.This is a 60 watt
per channel presently using 1614s (industrial 6L6Gs), driver / phase inverter,
12AX7. Pre amps are EF86s. Chrome is very good (not perfect), cleaned up well &
almost all the screen print is intact & clear. I am presently in test mode of
the project, next step to test "real life" with player on speakers. Wave shapes
on lab equipment into dummy loads shows almost perfect audio w/ very lo
distortion & no noise, 20hz thru 22khz 45+ watts. . Price: $300. + shipping to
anyone on these lists.
For any of you interested I will fill in what restoration included, besides
couple of days work. Will have pics available this weekend if interested.

Dee
