I've recently obtained an early Panadaptor, apparently built before the
name "Panadaptor" was coined. It appears to be a commercial model, built
under Navy contract, sometime between February 1942 and 1945. If anyone
has further information about these early units, how the Navy used them,
with which boatanchor receivers....or better yet a manual copy, I'd
appreciate hearing from you.

Photos are posted on my website ( a crude first
attempt)...http://home.comcast.net/~cbmcg/N7RHU.html

Thanks,
Chuck N7RHU
