I think you get an electronic confirmation by PayPal, but Al does not send
contributors by regular mail a receipt. Your cancelled check should suffice
there. The only 'real' risk is sending cash. But that is true of whomever you
send cash to.

The best and safest way to send money is by Pay Pal.  Nobody can 
"open" that.  I just sent QTH.net my donation this way. Never had a 
problem.
