I am removing this heathen from the list because of his foul language, "solid
state". Not to be confused with constipation of bowel or rigidity of mind!

Phil is among the finest technicians I have ever known, and I have known some
very bright and talented ones over the years.

An avid DX'er, mostly a listener, he has come up with some clever schemes in the
past to enhance reception and minimize noise. As I recall one involved lipstick
that when applied to his wife's lips sealed them shut for several days! One of
the NDB weekends Phil lives for -

Thanks for sharing your latest idea with the list Phil. I am sure some of the
subscribers will find it helpful in their pursuit of the ever elusive signals.

Hi.
Hope this isn't too far OT, but I know many on this list have more than one
receiver and would like to run multiple receivers at the same time. Not all
of us have access to a mil surplus multicoupler.

Towards this end I have developed a solid state (blasphemy!) active
multicoupler that uses components which are fairly easy to find and can be
built using a Radio Shack "universal PC board" and metal cabinet. It can be
built with a various number of outputs (I use 4) and contains NO toroid
transformers to wind. The transistors are "heavily" biased CB driver/output
transistors and the unit contains a BCB reject filter to eliminate any IMD
from nearby BCB stations. It appears to work well from below 60KHz to
30MHz.

This is NOT a kit but I have the schematic in PDF format and can provide
some basic guidelines and information along with the schematic. A first
time homebrewer may not want to build it as there are NO step by step
instructions.

IF you wish to receive this info please contact me OFF LIST and the
information will be provided as email attachments.
