[Boatanchors] Telesonic Radio System, Honest, that's what it is called

I have just recently come into possession of a "Telesonic Radio
Receiver" which was supposed to be used for Clandestine tapping of phone
lines.

In reality, it is more of a short range wireless telephone system. It
was, according to the manual, used by British Engineer Bridge Company's
to avoid shouting orders or having everyone carry a Handi talkie.

The transmitter seems to some sort of modified field telephone with a
ground loop antenna. The set came with a transmitter and six receivers.
The receiver is small item, hung by a strap over the shoulder, has the
pickup antenna permanently wound around the case and has a set of
headphones. System has a range of 200 meters.

I have been asking around but no one thus far has seen the transmitter.
Have any of you ever seen the transmitter? Any body know anything else
about the system?

Thanks,

Bill Howard
