Cliff,

FYI...  Motorola was founded by Bob Galvin.  Before the 'Motorola' name was
used, he manufactured radio gear under the name 'Galvin Manufacturing Co.'..
Quite a bit of the military radio gear was made under the Galvin label.
I'm not sure exactly when he/they dropped the Galvin logo and picked up the
Motorola name.

Until recently, Bob Galvin's son held a prominent position on the Motorola
board of directors...
