As always, all flavors of vintage gear is always welcome -
Place your bets gentlemen. No, not on the ponies in the Kentucky Derby, but on
whether propagation will permit us to talk to adjacent states for the Saturday
May 3rd edition of the HCI 40 meter Net. Tonight the band is open coast to
coast. What am I doing sitting here typing anyhow?
The pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EDT, (1645 UTC) and the Net proper at 1:00
PM EDT, (1700 UTC). the frequency will be 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike
splatter and the deafening sound of pounding hoofs thundering by the Shack
window. Nope, not live from Churchill Downs, just over sexed teenagers making a
Hostess Twinkey run to the small grocery store across the highway through the
fog, rain and forty degree temperatures wearing their short shorts. Those shorts
are so short, that they might as well not bother wearing them, as they leave
nothing to the imagination. You can see the tattoos on their butt cheeks right
through the material! My grandson observed one that read "I like my rump roast
medium bare!"
I hope to hear some of you tomorrow, so show up with a tale to tell, an item to
sell or a cure for the broken parted.
