It was Regency Electronics! Model number was the TR-1. It used a small
22.5 volt battery like the ones used in most of the VOM's then! It was rather
large by today's standards! Seems like it was about 1-1/2" X 4" X 6". The
sensitivity was poor in that only "local" stations could be heard!
Original price was around $69.95 or $79.95 as I recall. I bought one
"on special" for around $49.95. Someone relieved me of it about 6 months later!
(Theft!) I think this was in around the mid 1950's.

Two years later, I bought a Hitachi that ran off two "AA" cells. It ran rings
around the
Regency and was much smaller. Pocket size, in fact!
