Hello All... First of all, I wanted to thank the dozen or so of you who =
offered suggestions on how to get a sharp and even trace on my SB-610 =
monitor scope. I'm pleased to report that using a combination of your =
suggestions (which included replacing the three, 1/2 watt resistors in =
the intensity/focus pot circuits along with replacing all eight =
electrolytic capacitors) did the trick! I'm now able to focus a pin =
point dot and then increase the horizontal gain to produce a sharp and =
even trace all the way across the CRT face. The resistors were well over =
100% high in value and the electrolytics had a combination of serious =
out-of-tolerance values and most had high leakage as well. Thanks again =
for the expert advice. It made all the difference. Bill, K0JWP
