Well, at first, I was going to say my memory must not be
any good, but if the 6414 is a double triode, then maybe that
was the tube I recall.  Interesting, tho, a dual triode is
what the AX/AT/AU family is.

I noted in your list of alternatives for the AT/AU/AV
family, you did not list the 6414, so one could assume that
the 6414 does not have the same pin out as the AT/AU/AX 
family, or if it does, then something in the ratings 
makes in unusual.
