All flavors of vintage gear is always welcome - (If it is solid state, just
don't tell us!)
Remember to warm up those things that still go glow in the dark and join us for
the Saturday January 11th HCI 40 meter Net. The pre-Net will commence at 12:30
PM EST, (1730 UTC) and the Net proper at 1:00 PM EST, (1800 UTC).
The frequency will be 7.280 Mhz lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and the
sound of the cold north wind howling through my antenna farm shaking the tower
attached to the east side of the house like a dog chewing on a raw hide bone.
All of that thumping, banging and crashing in the background is not my grandson
giving his friends house destruction demonstrations!
The propagation has been quite good the past two weeks, hopefully it will
continue for tomorrow. Once we had five SR-2000 transceivers on Saturday. Can we
beat that and make it six? What a neat thing to sit back and listen to five
SR-2000's pounding the electrons with those waves of wonder from vintage
Hallicrafters gear.
I hope to hear many of you tomorrow. Hopefully the north wind will slack off and
my antennas will remain aloft and functional. If you hear this pathetic QRP CW
operator, you will know that the snow and wind did my antenna farm in! Plowed it
under in snow!
