[Boatanchors] Help With Simpson Model 55

Greetings All, 	
	
I have here a Simpson model 55 marine transciever. It is complete, including a
hand mike suitable for a big fisted Tug Captain. I was given this several years
ago. I was told that it operated both on the marine bands and on ten meters. I
was also told it could easily be modified to work on six meters. All AM, of
course.    	
	
There is no manual. It appears to be in good condition, cosmetically speaking. 	
	
Somewhere in the corners of my mind, I recall somebody mentioning one of these
many years ago. Now it seems that it could be modified for ten meters from the
marine band, nothing about six meters. Does anybody know anything about this rig
and these supposed mods? 	
	
What is the output? Anything you know, is more than I know about it!
