All:
Just wanted to know if I should put in a 3-35 pf trimmer/padder bandspread in parallel with a 140 pf variable in a regen radio I'm thinking about building.
I will be using a National type "B" vernier to tune the 140 pf cap between 2.2 and 3 Mcs. My concern is that I may be "overdoing it" with the bandspread as the vernier may be "slow" enough to tune in signals without the use of a bandspread.
Anyone care to comment about this approach? Is adding the bandspread a wise idea or will the venier dial take care of this problem? Thanks. Cal, N6KYR.
