[Boatanchors] Military DF indicator

I have been asked for information about a  DF scope IP-740/GR I was told
it was a part of Jeep installation which consisted of a Log- Periodic
antenna on top of a tall mast which was rotatable, a receiver(prob.
20-80 Mhz.), DF scope, and a power supply which consisted of four 6 volt
lantern batteries in series. If you can find out more about this system
I would appreciate the information.

Do any of you know anything about this set up?
