Hi Lorne,
I think the Gonset GSB series must have about the worst failure rate on
pwr xfmrs, I've heard a lot of "wants" for one. I have a GSB-101 amp that
has a replacement xfmr.
One thing you might consider if you don't come up with a xfmr is to use
an external Heath HP-23 supply (or even take the xfmr from it I suppose).
I, and others, have done that for such things as Hallicrafters HT-32/37's,
which also have a high failure rate. It worked real well for me on the
HT-37, I even made it reversible so putting a transformer back in was easy
when I did get one.
