Why would you want to modify it? They sound like a BC-610. Restore it.
Some people refinish their heirloom furniture and it then looses most of its
value and charm.

Evening, Gents -- I am new to this list, hoping to reap some wisdom.  I have
a question concerning a BC-610E transmitter and an accompanying speech amp
that I will be working on soon. I've searched the web and have picked up
some manuals and CD info, but cannot find much in the way of useful and
helpful modifications.  Being that this transmitter has been around for
awhile and I'm betting that some of you fellows may have dug into one at
some point in time, I'd be interested in what some of you have to say about
these units and how they can be modified for peak performance. Thanks and
