I have found that using a "black" permanent marker pen on chrome/nickel plated screws gives a
realy close imitation of the black chrome plating.
By "black" I mean black! some of these markers, when used on things other than paper leave a
copper like color reflection, that does not look right. A japanese marker called "Art Line" are
the best. I use a "fine" point, take out the screw, and black it all around, twice, let it dry a
while, and put it back.
Another handy hint from down under.
